Remarkable but true: This cover by Ben Howard is actually the only version of “Call Me Maybe” that I’ve heard.
Also, the volume slider on this player goes to 11.

Just discovered these guys, The Glitch Mob.
Some of it is hit-or-miss, but the hits are unbelievable. If you’re a secret agent and need to get pumped up for your next mission while powersliding a slick coupé through some European city at night, in slow motion, in a custom suit, you’ll be very happy with this.
Just in case you’re not a secret agent, you’ll probably be happy for the really good attention-grabbing electro/ambient music. I know that may not make much sense, but take a listen and you’ll see what I mean. There also are little-to-no annoying lyrics that get in the way of the beat.
What’s that? Oh, it’s just a violin and piano built at 50:1 scale and then turned into a building.
Opened in 2007, the Piano House can be found in Huainan City, An Hui Province, China. Inside are performance and practice spaces for music students as well as a bunch of plans on display for the public to view for newly developed areas nearby.
If the daytime shot wasn’t impressive enough, check out what it looks like after dark. It’s like if Stradivarius and the Steinways kidnapped an architect from inside TRON:

The Night Out (Madeon Remix) - Martin Solveig
This remix was posted to Soundcloud just four days ago, has just about 160k plays now, and the guy who made it is only 17. For context, the original/unmixed version is here.
DJ Schmolli - Super Bowl Anthem
There have certainly been more cleverly named track titles, but this is definitely a solid download for your weekend playlist. You can get the MP3 too.
One track, all this inside:
Talk about experimental … Double-Blind Violin Test: Can You Pick The Strad?
“In a double-blind test by professional violinists, most couldn’t determine — by sound alone — which violin was an original Stradivarius and which was a modern instrument.”
It’s been a while since I last posted any tunes. Here’s a good party mashup I found the other day.
3LAU - All Night
If you put an iPhone inside an acoustic guitar, set it to record video, and then played the guitar, this is what you would see.

A history of the US in under 6 minutes: Wolfgang Gartner - Illmerica
Titus Jones’ Culture Shock is unbelievable. Watch out Girl Talk, there’s a new player in town.
